A Good Year was built in 1984 and had an extensive refit around two years ago and is currently used as a live-a-board. During the refit everything in the interior was replaced including cladding, wiring, lighting and underfloor marine ply boards. A 3000 watt inverter was fitted for the mains 240v. A 40w solar panel was fitted and is set up to feed the starter battery. There are currently 3 leisure battery, all of which are 3 years and a starter battery which is only about 1 year., with a split charger from the alternator. Two 300 litre water tanks are fitted under the bed. The Yanmar engine was fitted in May 2017, this was previously used on a Lifeboat and so had minimal hrs and is in great condition. The hull was blackened in July 2018, at this time a hull survey and works was also completed. There are two large roof storage boxes with covers that prove to be very useful.
The interior is fitted with low wattage LED lights, runway lighting along corridor runs 10 0.15w LEDs and the ceiling lights are 4w each. Made to measure blinds throughout, with the bathroom and bedroom being blackout blinds, all have magnetic strips to keep them in place whilst down. There is slatted windows throughout, which provides great ventilation during the summer months. The flooring for most parts is laminate with easy clean vinyl for the bathroom and hallway which is ideal for wet and muddy feet. The interior is painted in a white and pale grey which keeps the inside looking really light and airy.
Leading from the front of the boat, there is benches to the bow, so ample seating for entertaining and relaxing with plenty of space underneath for storing coal and wood. Double split doors lead to the living room with a FoxHunter cast iron burner with a 5.5KW output which I found was ample for the size of the boat, this was installed in February 2017. A 2 seater sofa bed and a flat screen TV with built in DVD.
The kitchen has a built in breakfast bar, washing machine, fridge, beko gas cooker 1.5 sink with mixer tap with rinse hose and a good amount of storage space.
Bedroom has a storage cupboard and shelving, the bed is raised off the ground and a unbelievably comfortable Simba mattress that's only 3 years old. There are two large cupboards/wardrobes either side of the bed which allows for ample storage.
The bathroom has a built in shower, sink with mixer tap, cassette toilet and the Morco gas boiler which provides hot water throughout the boat.
Finally another storage cupboard along with the fuse box etc. which leads to the back door and then onto the large stern with plenty of room for seating.
