Out of service, RNLI Milburn converted to a motor cruiser in 1955, with a rich and adventurous past and more than a few stories to tell. Now static at quiet boatyard mooring in Newhaven, which provides power, water, toilet and washing facilities as well as chandlery and expert marine engineering facilities.
The boat is split into bedroom, galley and living spaces with toilet separate.
Original hardwood crossbeam hull. All wood above deck has been replaced with marine ply 8 years ago. Many interesting features including woodburner, mahogany fitted cupboards.
The engine is seized, but is a 1956 Lister Pettit 6 cylinder internal combustion 4 stroke engine . They don't make them like that any more and the engine alone may be of interest for parts.
Extensive work still to be done, but a massively rewarding project for the right person. No time wasters please!!
