Twin 120hp 6 cylinder naturally aspirated Ford Sabre diesels (1978) driving 3 bladed 22-inch bronze propellers through 1.5-inch shafts and Borg Warner 72G gearboxes and 2:1 handed reduction gears.
All 6 cutlass bearings renewed in 2017. PSS non-drip shaft seals.
Engines removed and overhauled and gearboxes reconditioned in 2007

Built in 1978 by Fred Booker Marine, Barnsley to a design by John Askham. Blue GRP semi displacement hull moulded by Halmatic and professionally repainted in 2019 by F Halls & Son, Walton on the Naze. White GRP superstructure with light blue treadmaster non-slip panels to side and foredecks (2012). Self-draining chain and gas lockers. Deep cockpit with teak seating and large lazarette. Hydraulic wheel steering to twin rudders. Osmosis treatment in 2005. Coppercoat antifouling (2015).
The accommodation mainly fitted out with teak joinery and trim offers up to six bunks in three cabins. The forward cabin has V-berths with infill cushion and storage under. Hanging lockers to port and starboard. Opening hatch to foredeck with blind.
The heads compartment is a GRP moulding and comprises a Blakes Lavac Electric sea toilet to port fitted in 2006, with a vanity unit opposite to starboard comprising basin and shower with hot and cold water. Stowage in lockers behind heads and basin and below basin. Shower sump with electric pump in floor. Two closing doors to provide full width heads compartment or closed off lavatory only. Two opening side windows.
The lower saloon comprises a U-shaped dinette to port and a linear galley to starboard. The dinette converts to a double berth using the saloon table. Stowage in lockers underneath seats and behind backrests. Electrics cabinet behind panelled doors on aft bulkhead.
Linear galley comprises stainless-steel sink with drainer with h&c water, 4 burner gas hob with grill and oven. Frigoboat refrigerator (2006). Generous stowage in lockers above and below worktop. Drinks cabinet behind panelled doors on aft bulkhead.
Steps up to wheelhouse. Helm position to port with full instrumentation and engine controls. Co-pilot / navigator seat to starboard with chart area and stowage under. Settees port and starboard in aft of wheelhouse (can convert to double bunk). Starboard settee also converts to full length bunk. Curtains to side windows. Demountable table. Access to engine room under wheelhouse floor.
Teak double doors from wheelhouse lead to aft cockpit with u shaped teak seating with stowage under, also large lazarette under cockpit floor and storage lockers in wings of wheelhouse. Gas locker containing 2 x 3.9kg propane gas bottles in self-draining locker under starboard side deck. Cushions for cockpit seating and fitting for cockpit table.
