A unique 3 way option and maybe your opportunity to fulfill your dream sooner than you thought.
All steel 40 foot narrowboat currently moored at portavon marina in Keynsham offering parking, 400 metres to train station and local shops and a pub just 50 metres away. The marina is set in a beautiful location with shower and toilet facilities. Communal areas, barbecue pit, and water and power points to all moorings.
Strollin’ Bones was built in 1984 of all steel construction originally as a cruiser stern boat with open front deck. The boat was taken from the water about 6 years and replated, the front deck was extended to allow a full double bed to be installed lengthways in the front cabin. Layout from the front is double cabin with electric heater leading to shower/sink/cassette toilet and further through to combined open plan galley and saloon. 3 stairs then lead to rear steering position with canopy. The interior has been refloored throughout with loose laid decking allowing good access to bilge area.
The boat has been repainted this year inside and out ready for the new owner/renter.
Currently used as a liveaboard all gas fittings have been disconnected. Equipment includes lock key, engine battery, 2 domestic batteries, bilge pumps, battery charger, mooring lines, water pump, electric water heater, microwave, mini oven, washing machine, sink, fire extinguishers, etc.
THERE IS AN EBERSPACHER DIESEL HEATER SUPPLIED FREE WITH THE BOAT IF REQUIRED.
BAD POINTS. The water tank leaks into the bilge when fully topped up so I just fill it about halfway. There is an alternative mounting place in the shower room for a plastic tank 80 litres and these cost around £75. The diesel tank is in poor condition and the fuel is currently drained down. The old gas locker would make an ideal siting point for a replacement tank if required and the old tank area then used for a calorifier. The canopy window and zips need replacing although the canopy itself is in good order.
The engine was running before I drained down the fuel system and could easily be recomissioned. Steering etc and engine controls are in good order. The saloon/kitchen area is totally open plan with no fittings such as tables, chairs etc.
Boat safety certificate is until July next year. I am happy to have this renewed.
Offered as is/where is with mooring transferable. The options available are outright purchase at around £16,000. Rent only at £600 per month including mooring charge or rent to buy on favourable terms.
Available from now.
An amazing opportunity to put your personal stamp on the boat to fulfill your dreams at a bargain price.
