Magnificent Piper 60 in second ownership. 2013 build, but only 400 hours total time. Designed to navigate the Rhine and the Danube to the Black Sea. 170hp Vetus Deutz 6 litre diesel - twice the power of standard Piper 60's. Total hydraulics: bow thruster, stern thruster and anchor winch. Kabola heating powering baseboards, radiators and towel rails in both bathrooms. 6kva generator. Automatic satellite tracking system and two T.V.'s. Two sleeping cabins give four berths, plus convertible double in wheelhouse. This is a true little ship and a genuine, powerful class "C" capable of coastal cruising and channel crossing. Perfect condition. Everything works like the day it left the factory - better in fact as the engine is now just about properly run-in. Apart from the usual few scuffs expected of a barge that has crossed Europe through hundreds of locks, the condition can be considered virtually "as new". It has not, over its lifetime, been used as a live-aboard, putting wear on its systems. It has, up until its recent European adventure, seen light, weekend cruising use only. Vessel is fully equipped from cutlery to bedding to folding bicycles. Nothing to buy. Ready to go.
U.K. merchant shipping part 1 registry gives peace of mind that ownership and absence of liens is secure. I'm not widely exposing this vessel for sale, - yet; just here on the DBA website. We've been doing this for a total of 10 years, in different vessels, spending six or seven months aboard, but recent commitments have cut this down to our only being able to spend three months aboard. It seems a criminal waste to leave this lovely craft idle for 9 months of the year. That's the only reason we're considering selling. She is a uniquely-equipped Piper 60 and should go to someone who is going to use her powerful capabilities and complete live-aboard facilities to their full potential. We are sad about this, but such is life!
