Engine is a Perkins 4.236 four cylinder normally-aspirated deisel, developing 72bhp@2250rpm. This drives through a Borg Warner 2;1 reduction-gearbox and R&D flexible-coupling to the propeller-shaft, which is sealed by a plain floating stern-gland.
Hull is of displacement type, with a long moulded keel and a pair of bilge-keels amidships. The stem is raked and the transom is radiused. The underwater sections are in very good condition and are anti-fouled. Skin fittings are bronze and in order. A steel skeg of 4x2 " channel is well fixed to the aft end of the keel, extending aft under the propeller. The skeg carries a bottom-bearing for the rudder. Delta-plates are fitted under the propeller.
Sterngear; a 1.5" S/S propeller-shaft emerges through the trailing edge of the keel, where it is supported by the cutlass-bearing held in a bronze carrier, securely-bolted to the hull. A three bladed equipoise 18"x12" propeller is swung. A steel rudder and stock are hung aft.
Top-sides; Are painted wite and in good condition they are protected by an aluminium rubbung-strake with a rubber insert at gunwhale-level. a similar strake runs for two thirds of hull-lenght for'd of the transom at one third of top-sides height.
