Grayhound has a 90 HP BETA Engine 2012 which has an offset propeller with a running range of 850 nautical miles at 15 RPS
There is also a BETA generator 12.3 KVA new in 2019 which provides power to the sockets 240v and runs the cooker and charges the batteries, fridge, freezer, water maker, lights and navigation equipment.

Built from the original plans of the 1776 GRAYHOUND which was built in Cawsand Cornwall and was built as a customs Lugger of St Ives which then became a Privateer. This GRAYHOUND was built in 2012 as a 5th/6th scale and at every stage of the build inspected and approved by MCA surveyors. She has CAT 0 stability. She is built in the traditional manner UK Larch plank on UK Oak frame . Green heart keel and floors. Oak Treenail fastening. Tropical hard wood Opepe deck, deck house and hatches. Douglas Fir masts and spars.

Grayhound can sleep 17 and is coded to have 17 people onboard. 12 paying passengers. Accommodation in the saloon and forecabin offers 11 berths. Then there are two double cabins and three single berths in the aft cabin. The layout is comfortable each bunk is 7 ft long. The style is rustic & natural. The galley is well equipped with a 4 hob electric boiliing top and turbo fan oven. A small fridge and freezer. Hot water.
There are two baby blake toilets and a shower. The deck house is spacious and very useful it is also where the navigation table is, very close to the tiller.
